Never Have I Ever…read a later book in a series before reading the first book

Huh, so, I read The Upside Of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli before Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda, but I don’t know if that’d count because the protagonists and all were quite different. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Never Have I Ever…burned a book

NO, NO, DEFINITELY NO! You kidding me? That’s a horrible thing to do!👎🏻

Never Have I Ever…read a book I knew I would hate

Like, I can’t read classic romances, okay? They don’t interest me. So, this one time I decided to ‘broaden my horizon’ and ‘explore the beautiful world of classics’ and I made the choice of reading Pride and Prejudice. I knew I wouldn’t like it and I didn’t, I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t like it enough to continue. I’m sorry but classics and me? We just don’t match.

Never Have I Ever…wrote a fanfiction about my favourite books

Naahh. They require a bit too much of imagination and fangirling for my taste. Like, you give me plot with a few details and I’ll give you a 30,000 words book in a month, but me alone would take a looot of time.

Never Have I Ever…loved a book when I was young, yet hated it when I got older

I don’t think so. The craze of books started for me this year, I didn’t read that much in my childhood, so no, I don’t think so. ☹

Never Have I Ever…dressed up as one of my favorite literary characters

Never Have I Ever…hated a book by an author I love

Have I? I guess, no. I don’t know.

Never Have I Ever…gone into a bookstore to buy one book and come out with many more

Does Amazon count? If, yes, then definitely! 😁

Never Have I Ever…read the ending of a book before reading the beginning

Once. In Sadie by Courtney Summers. What can I say? Curiosity killed the cat! Meow. But that didn’t help because I could not understand what happened, had to read the book anyway. 😿

Never Have I Ever…read a book without the dust cover

Once. The dust cover was too pretty to remove!

Never Have I Ever…skim read nearly half a book

Do school books count? If not, then no. And if yes, I’m sure a lot of students relate!

Never Have I Ever….pretended to have read a book that I haven’t

Again, Do school books count?

Never Have I Ever….saw the movie before the book

Err…I have. I read the Princess Diaries, Twilight, Legally Blonde, Calling Sehmat ( Raazi-It’s a Bollywood movie) and Crazy Rich Asians after watching the movie. And I’m not sure if it would count, but I watched the first few episodes of The Vampire Diaries and then I read the first four books of the series.

Addition- Never Have I Ever….read a book someone else is reading by peeking in their copy

Yeah, sorry for the weird as hell question. Guilty as charged, I am! So, I was on the bus and I didn’t have anything to do(couldn’t sleep, I don’t know why) and this person sitting in front of my was reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and I had already read the book, leaving me no choice but to peek and read. It was the circumstances! I had no choice! Also, in school library, we don’t get a proper choice in books!🤪

AND THE PEOPLE I TAG ARE(I wouldn’t mind a drumroll, thank you)-

Riddhi @Whispering Stories

Kate @Unbound Library

Ahaana @Windows To Worlds

Hayden @Following Good Books

Clara @Tales Of Teacups

    1. Welcome, welcome! Thanks and really looking forward to your answers!😊
I know, right?! That’s just cruel and evil! It’s practically a crime. We bookworms should form a force and arrest(or execute, whichever suits) such criminals!😡

  1. What a fun tag! Thank you, I’ll do it for sure too ♥ Your answers were great!

Of course it’s totally normal to peek at somebody else’s book! For some reason I don’t see many people reading on public transport, so when I see someone with a book I always peep in and try to guess what kind of personality they have based on that book. It’s fun… and maybe the tiniest bit creepy 😂

    1. Glad you liked the post! And looking forward to your answers, too!😍
And, yeah, it’s really fun to peek in people’s books and of course see their reactions especially when people start crying or something, only we readers understand that sometimes our tears are not in our hands! People don’t get us, hmph! As for the creepy part, I don’t actually agree but then again, deep down, I know it’s true!🤪 I’m in a war with myself right now!😂😂

  2. I love that you did this tag! Your answers are so much fun. Especially your misadventure in reading Pride and Prejudice. Definitely if you don’t like classic romance, don’t bother reading them. They aren’t for everyone.

    1. Thank you! And the tag was really awesome, you really have a creative mind!
And, ah Pride And Prejudice, I tried really hard to read it because I’m a Romance fan and the book is quite important in the genre but eh, I couldn’t do it! You are right, some books just aren’t for me☹
Maybe someday I’ll be a fan of Classics, you never know!🤪
Thanks again for creating the tag, it was a lot fun to do!

  3. Haha, I agree! If I write a fanfiction, it would put non hardcore fans off with all the fangirling. 😅 Hehe, I’m guilty of speeding through school books as well because I have terrible patience reading classics – something which I should work on…
Thanks for doing the tag Tiction! ❤
