Uh, I don’t think it’s fall anymore, I was literally shivering yesterday, so I know I’m late, and I’m sorry for that. In my defense, I am very lazy and had a bit of a things to do!(nothing really except to sleep and read but who cares?)
So, basically here I am, ignoring my lazy self, doing the famous Finally Fall Book Tag so late that I should be ashamed of myself but shamefully I am not!🙃
Thanks a bunch to April @Booked Till Midnight for tagging me in this! If you haven’t already, do check out her blog, I’m sure you’ll find it fun!
Let’s start with it, shall we?!
IN FALL, THE AIR IS CRISP AND CLEAR: NAME A BOOK WITH A VIVID SETTING
A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett. A fact about me – I don’t read classics, but I LoVeD this book, it was so sweet and beautiful, a bit sad, and a lot vivid!
NATURE IS BEAUTIFUL… BUT ALSO DYING: NAME A BOOK THAT IS BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN, BUT ALSO DEALS WITH A HEAVY TOPIC LIKE LOSS OR GRIEF.
Ah, I’d love to go with The History Is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera. The book has a mourning theme, but is beautifully written with a bit of humour and a kind of happy ending!
FALL IS BACK TO SCHOOL SEASON: SHARE A NON-FICTION BOOK THAT TAUGHT YOU SOMETHING NEW.
I don’t really read Non-fiction, but I’ve read one, Calling Sehmat by Harinder Sikka, and I loved it. It focused on patriotism, feminism, bravery and consequences, and while these weren’t really new, they were definitely something.
IN ORDER TO KEEP WARM, IT’S GOOD TO SPEND SOME TIME WITH THE PEOPLE WE LOVE: NAME A FICTIONAL FAMILY/HOUSEHOLD/FRIEND-GROUP THAT YOU’D LIKE TO BE PART OF.
I’d love to be a part of Silver family from the Also Known As series by Robin Benway, cause TBH, who doesn’t want to be a part of a family full of spies? I know I do!
FALL IS THE PERFECT TIME FOR SOME STORYTELLING BY THE FIRESIDE: SHARE A BOOK WHEREIN SOMEONE IS TELLING A STORY.
I’d love to go with The Book Thief by Markus Zusak because the narrator is(drumroll) the Death himself! It was a really beautiful book, ah!
THE NIGHTS ARE GETTING DARKER: SHARE A DARK, CREEPY READ.
I wanted to go with Sadie, but so many people had gone with it, so I’m gonna go with Little Monsters by Kara Thomas. The book was a bit slow, TBH, but the end gets so dark, that you just can’t hate this book!
THE DAYS ARE GETTING COLDER: NAME A SHORT, HEARTWARMING READ THAT COULD WARM UP SOMEBODY’S COLD AND RAINY DAY.
Ah, TBH, any book by Kasie West! But, to be precise, I’ll go with By Your Side by Kasie West! The book has a very few dark parts, but it’s still a sweet heartwarming read!
FALL RETURNS EVERY YEAR: NAME AN OLD FAVORITE THAT YOU’D LIKE TO RETURN TO SOON.
I don’t really like to reread books, but I guess I’ll be returning to We Were Liars by E. Lockhart pretty soon! And, yes, I know I speak way too much of this book, how can I not after that end?
FALL IS THE PERFECT TIME FOR COZY READING NIGHTS: SHARE YOUR FAVOURITE COZY READING “ACCESSORIES”!
Uhh. I don’t really have a particular reading accessory, I think, I guess we could go with my blanket? Like, as far as I remember, my blanket is always there with me whenever I read, so.🤷🏻♀️
Um, so as you might notice, fall isn’t really there anymore, so I am not gonna tag anyone here, so if you are interested in doing the tag, and haven’t done it already, consider yourself tagged by me! And do leave a link/pingback for me so I could know your answers!
How was your fall? Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What did you think of them? Let me know!!

Oh, I loved A Little Princess so much when I was a kid! Sara Crewe was such a heart-warming and admirable character. 🥰

Ikr! I really liked Sara, and I loved how her fate changed, usually that leads to me not liking the book, but it was different here!

I always here of we were liars and the ending. Like I want to know what happens and finally read the book but my TBR is so huge. I think the only way I’d read it is if it fell into my lap from the sky.
Ah plot twists. It’s the same with movies. I always here about this big twist in Fight Club. I’ve never seen it and I don’t want to spoil myself.

ahhh, i get it! TBR being too large? story of my life lah!
had it been in my hands, i would have made one copy of we were liars fall from the sky, TBH, i just really love that book, the twist was really something you dont expect!🤩
huh, I’d not heard of a twist in fight club and haven’t watched the movie, but that makes it sound fun, maybe I’d give a try!
ooh, and thank you so much for the comment!🤩

Yeah. I mean i watched the book thief and really liked it read the book after and couldn’t get in to at all. But for we were liars Idk I think it was very slow getting in to. Too many characters to remember. I just wanted to know the end – the ending did shock me and I totally never saw it coming! But nonetheless, I wouldn’t say I loved the book. They were mediocre 😬

Ah I see, for me, We Were Liars was quite addictive, because I’m a fan of figurative writing and those shots in the hearts and all metaphors, really confused me at first but then it was like omg wow what just happened?😂
and yeah it’s okay, I get it, Harry Potter is like something a lot of people worship, but I’m like they’re okay, but not the best, so🤷🏻♀️

OMG 😱 can’t believe you think Harry Potter are okay! To be honest I get what you mean though. The book was good, like the ending was so unexpected that I had to look back in to book to see how i missed it. A twist that I never saw coming, but I don’t think I talk about that book that often (in a positive geekish way) than I would for other books.

Yeah I get it!
And yeah, Harry Potter is kind of meh for me, I have to give it to the author the plot and setting was perfect! But you know, after a few weeks of reading the series the craze just died down, I don’t really give the series much thought now, don’t even remember the names of most characters tbh😂
